Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque amber with no head - completely flat. Rather sophisticated aroma of barrel and sweet, noble rot. Medium body, syrupy and fat with a very distinct oakinees. Almost a desert wine. But I so wish these LAB beers had carbonation..... 301117

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a small white head. The aroma has notes of spices, malt, over ripe fruits, and grapes. The flavor is sweet with notes of over ripe fruits, alcohol, grapes, and spices, leading to a dry finish.

From tap. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity. Sourish and spiced. Sweet. Herbal. Soiced and toasted malty. Dry and herbal. Soiced and herbal finish. Toasted and spiced finish.

Draft glass at Warszawski Festiwal Piwa’17 - day 1, split with 77ships. Ambre clair, col fin beige, huileux au verre. Arôme au nez fruité confits; date et figue avec un petit effet de vin rouge, niveau BE de saison arrive en retrait, mais on est clairement sur une version impériale. Palais est bien malté, liquoreux avec un effet vin rouge marqué sur la fin, le tout collant aux lèvres. Pointe de cette levure belge avec un alcool perçant que je trouve un peu surfait. Fruité noir avec encore des dates et figues. Trouve même une pointe d’ester sur la fin. Pas mauvaise en-soi.

Thank you for sharing Sebletitje! Sampled draft @ Warsaw Beer Festival Spring 2017. Hazy orange, little white head. Nose is interesting very thick cough syrup herbal wine, cherry, licorice, medicinal wine. Taste is hugely thick & herbal cough syrup, lightly boozy, very thick medicinal herbal wine. Cough syrup body. Unique, interesting, pleasant desert drink. Intriguing take on the style, purists will rage here (likely justly so).
