A smooth deep golden ale with a spicy bitterness derived from an interesting blend of WGV, Amarillo and Hallertau hops.

Cask at Chapel Beer Festival. Clear gold beer. Light hoppy nose. Palate is neutral to slightly dry. Light dry malt. Juicy hop fruits. Okay but somewhat let down by the tired malts.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Gold with a thin cream head; weak grainy aroma; watery with a wheaty body; and a touch of bitterness to finish. Disappointing and forgetable - not Loddon’s finest.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 19 nov 2007) Amber colour with frothy white head. Fruity nose with orange, apricots and earthy hops. Fruity taste with notes of orange peel, grapefruit and a nice dose of earthy hops in the finish. Some malt sweetness lingers in the background throughout. Nice session beer with a distinct bitterness.
