Bottle 50 cl. Cloudy, almost opaque amber with the tiniest little blurp of a bubble on top. No mistaking the Ysta house character - like rottening water in a flower vase - or fallen fruit after 3 weeks on the ground. A lurking infection seems present at all times, who knows - it may never reach bloom, but honestly who cares. This is not solid craftmanship at all - this is a brewery that year after year still doesn't know the basics in brewing clean beer. 270918

Draft. A dark amber beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of butter and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw and malt, as well as a light note of butter.

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with red tinges. Raisins, malt and a hint of spice in the aroma. Fruity and tart taste with notes of raisins and vinegar. I suspect it’s infected, but then again, these guys produce so many beers like this that it’s hard to tell if it’s intentional or not. Has been like this for years.

Sample at SBWF 2012. A bit hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma and taste of light roasted malt, earth, hay, yeast and caramel. Nothing to write home about.

330ml, 5% ABV, draught and served in a tall glass in the sunny backyard of the brewery. Unclear, dark amber body with a ring of off-white bubbles on the surface. Smell of caramel malts. Slightly roasted caramel in flavour with a hint of yeast behind. Moments of dark fruits, too. Soft carbonation. Quite alright, but gives a more insipid than fresh impression ( Ystad, 31.07.2010).

Draught@SBWF2009. Deep nut brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is slighly infected sourness along with caramel, fudge and vegetables. Flavour is caramel, fruits and wood. Not as infected in flavour as the aroma was.
