Draft. Ambery appearance. Tasted overhopped and not that great to me. Kind of forgettable.

From Notes Sampled 11/15/2007 Picked up a 6 pack of the encore series. Pours an amber color with a slight haze to it. Started off with a fluffy head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is nutty, grainy, with some sweet caramel in there. Taste is grainy, bready with a hop touch in there. Medium carbonation and a dry finish that lingers of hops. Descent beer not my favorite, but highly quaffable.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. A hazy orange beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet with notes of straw and malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and a hay like note of hops, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Cloudy light amber color. The aroma is a bit fruity, with light malt. Medium body structure, sweetish malt flavor, with a touch of toffee, low bitterness. Crossover between Ale and Lager.

Pours very clear amber, looks filtered actually. Pretty nice and long-lasting cream coloured head. Sweet, roasty, malty aroma. Heavy on roasted malt. Definite hop presence. Somewhat hoppy taste. Metallic finish and short lived aftertaste. Overall pretty damn good.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 22 Sep 2007) Amber colour with brief off-white head. Malty, aromatic nose with spicy notes of dark fruit, dried apricots and raisins. Malty, clean taste with dried fruit, apricots and raisins. Clean and delicate malt character with notes of spicy hops lingering towards the end. Nice example of kellerbier.

Light amber color, small beige head. Malty, lightly sweetish nose. Malty flavor too with tobacco flavors. Hoppy aftertaste. Not very kellerbier-like.

Bottled@SBWF2007. Amber colour, mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is mainly earthy grassy and slightly hoppy. Flavour is dry grassy and earthy with some bready hints. Pleasant and refreshing.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Lightly hazy deep golden. Buttery aroma. Dryish and grassy with rounded mouthfeel. Well hopped, yet yeast and bready malt gets a chance to come through. Salty bitter finish. An impressive take on a difficult style.

Poured a translucent orange/amber with almost no head. Smells of grain, yeast and bananas. Looks and smells alot like a Marzen. Flavor is mostly malty, also spicy, with a touch of biscuit and some citrus from some nice hop presence. Flavor was very well rounded and balanced. Finish is a little watery but also a little crisp. I love Harpoon, I usually like Kellers, but this was above average at best.
