Our local friends at Heartland Family Farms grew an extra amount of less tart, less sweet, more fruity black raspberries with a distinct flavor. We fruited these delicious berries on our Sour Reserve and are happy to share the result. Take a bottle down the B-Line Trail, up the Monon Trail, or wherever great paths take you to share with fellow travelers.

Bottle @MBCC 2024, Blue Session, courtesy of the US neighbours. Very dark red, pink head. Strong raspberry aroma, some vanilla, wood. Raspberry, woody flavour, sourish bite.

Slightly hazy purple red beer with a white lacing. Aroma of tart raspberries, strong malt, lactic cherries. Taste of lactic cherries, raspberry, vanilla, moderate sourness.

MBCC. Courtesy of the US guys. Hazy very dark red with a pink head. Aroma is sweet, malty, raspberry and tart. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate acidic. Dry and moderate acidic finish. 100524

Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle from shrubber85 2016 bottle corked and capped poured into a Teku. Dark read with small off-white head. Aroma is tart raspberry, medium body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is tart black raspberry.

At Hopishop 2016. Aroma of raspberry, tart and wheat. Taste has sour raspberry, tart, wheat and soft red fruit. Very nice.

Thank you! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ HopisHop B.U.M.B. 2016. Deep pomegranate & red wine red with little tanned head. Nose is big on vinegar & some raspberry pits, vinegar & lemon sour. Taste is massive on vinegar, lemon juice, acidic, basic sour, fruit is almost lost in it, you get raspberry vinegar & some raspberry pits. Carbonation is bit sparkling. Decent but way too sour for its own good.

Bottle: Deep, clear burgundy with a small pink head. Raspberry, mild vinegar, dry hay aroma. Flavour is tart raspberry.....nicely acidic and puckering over berry sweetness. Full-bodied....very nice.
