Thank you kraddel! 355 ml. bottle sampled @ bus post-VCBF 2017. Dark red amber. Nose is mellow sour cherry & some vinegar. Taste is mutted cherry, easy barrel, cherry, some vinegar, could be touch more expressive, overall quite nice, low vinegar finish, medium carbonation. Quite neat, not as insane as the super-fruity Cassis version.

Bottle. Dark amber with cherry highlights. Thin scum of off-white instead of a head. Tart cherry aroma. The flavor is lightly tart, fruity. Acidic. Not bad but not worth the price.

A bit on the mild end of the sour spectrum for my tastes, offering up a moderate sour cherry tartness offset by a modest underlying sweetness. Lacto tang doesnโt last very long, though, and the finish grows a bit weak, semi-dry with a very faint bitterness mixing with a vinous fade. Not much of a looker, pouring a decent hazed red but with little head and no lace. Smell is mostly lacto, maybe a little oak. Textureโs fine, but as a whole the beer could use a little more complexity, a little more oomph to the finish.
