Draft pour at the Encinitas Oggi’s on 8th May 2016. Came in a frosted glass with ice floating in the freezing beer, what the hell is all that about. I wanted to try all the beers they had on tap, but no flights, so I had three 16oz beers before leaving. Too cold to have any aroma, too cold to have any taste, looked OK if you like icebergs in your beer. Scored as objectively as I could.

Tap. Pours clear pale yellow, small white head, nice lacing. Aroma is faint hay and honey. Flavor is about the same, mild and inoffensive. Light sweet, light grassy bitter. Light body.

Enjoyed as part of a sampler at Oggi’s in Garden Grove, CA. Appearance a bright gold with a thin white head. Aroma is different, yeast, not much malt, and cream corn. Taste is exactly like cream corn, buttery and light. I actually like cream corn, not so much in beer form though.

Draft. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has light notes of malt, straw, and brewing cereal. The flavor is sweet with primary notes of straw combined with lighter notes of malt and corn, leading to a lightly bitter finish. Boring.

On tap in Tustin. Pours with a clear golden body and a white head. Looks like their pale lager. Aroma is sweet, grain and a bit of noble hop (they claim sterling, which seems to be an American Saaz). Taste is very light, brisk finish, slightly sweet. Light bubbles. Not bad, not good.

Sample at the Santa Clarita location. Pours a clear pale golden color with a wispy white head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Mildly hoppy aroma with biscuity malt. Light-bodied with lively carbonation. Toned-down hops and malt flavors with a touch of spice. The finish is short and lightly hopped. Not much going on here.
