Draft @ CBFZ 2017. pours almost black with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate, lactose, and chalk. Good overall.

Thank you tderoeck! Sampled draft @ VCBF 2017. Black, creamy mocha head. Nose is weird umami profile, basic chocolate, low soy sauce with cheesy hops. Taste is cheesy hops, umami, mocha, cheap chocolate, herbal, strange, messy but enticing, the cheesy hops help it for sure. Umami body.

Clear dark brown beer, creamy beige head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty roasted, malty, mocha, cocoa powder, coffee. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: coffee, soft roast, caramel, bit sweet, sourish touch. Aftertaste: bitter hops, roasted, some coffee, grains, not very impressed by this one.

At Zurich Bier Festival 2017. Pours black with a little head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Heavy body, roasted, sweet, sticky, late bitterness. Medium bitter palate. Good.
