Deep reddish brown. Small beige head. Nose: big forest berry jam, red wine, dark malts. Some vanilla. Medium to full body. Taste: fairly sweet, not sticky, dried fruit, jam, toasted malts. Low bitterness. Quite tasty. Still not among styles best.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque brown with a tiny, rough, off-white head. Sweet, plummy and rummy nose, noble rot. Rich, sweet and flat body. Why on earth didn't they carbonate this? Again lots of overripe fruit, rottenish and decomposing. Plums - or rather prunes - dates, figs. All the stuff you add to a Christmas pudding. And it's all very delicious. Coconut even. Perhaps not so much Belgian, more like a really old British Barley Wine. But indeed a delicious sipper. 280219

33 cl bottle poured into a Trappist glass. Label says 'Julequad 2017'. Dark amber colour with a reddish hue. Thin, lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, rich fruity notes - red berries, noble rot, chocolate and a lightly toasted note. Taste is sweet. Full bodied. Sweet and fruity finish with vague booze and lingering fruity notes. Lovely quad.

Nice tasty quad. Mellow fine carbonation level made it dangerously easy to drink. Strangely enough a bit thin mouth feeling after a while. Balanced sweetness. Dried fruits, toffee, malty and some spices in the flavor. No sticky alchol!
