Clear, dark brown beer with minimum head. Aroma has ripe fruits, plum, raisins, berries and bready malts. Taste has dried fruits, berries, syrup and spices. Also some alcohol. Full body, soft, low carbonation. Very sweet, more like a barley wine.

Bottle. Dark brown body with a medium sized, dense, lacing tan head. Strong aroma of malt, toffee, dry fruit and hint of red berries. Flavor is rather sweet malt, dry fruit, smooth toffee, some red berries and hint of chocolate. It does not feel to sweet as there is a fine balance with the moderate bitterness, high alcohol and a tiny hint of sour red berries. Some spicy Belgium yeast, but not less pronounced after a year in the celllar. Full bodied and long lasting sweet and fruity aftertaste. Nice for sipping and superb for food. A modern classic.

Bottle, vintage 2016. (thanks SirLimpsalot) Dark brown with a small head. Sweetish with dried fruit, malt, caramel. The body was full and the finish with warming alcohol. A pleasant one.

drker brown colour, minimal beige head; aroma of plum jam, slightly burnt sugar syrup and dried frutis (berries) and maybe some minimal (spiced) applesauce; taste has the same notes with sweet syrupy dominance and some slight anise; good quadrupel
