Dark brown color, small brown head. Some coffeish notes, sweetish caramel. Light to medium bodied. Watery palate, some chocolate, lingering hoppyness. Clean but a bit too watery.

Keg at the brewpub - Cabo. Pours clear brown with a khaki foam head. Not bad, plenty of earth, dry roast, supple cocoa, burn tobacco, moderate sweetness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Some cocoa to finish, burnt leaves, earthy bitterness, mild tobacco. Nice.

Bottled at PBF. Dark brown, small head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Mid dry with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Hazelnuts and chocolate, salty bitterish finish. Clean, but flavourful and balanced.

33 cl bottle (7%) @ PBF VIII
Aroma is sweetish with berries, some licorice, vanilla and raspberries. Watery palate. Flavour has salty licorice, say souce, peppery notes and herbal tones. Quite nice but the palate is just too thin. Also not like the other sweet stouts I’ve had.

Tap. Pours deep brown to black with a small tan head and minimal lacing. Aroma is nice espresso, roasted malt, and chocolate. Flavor is coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, with a light bitter finish. A bit watery on the palate for this otherwise quite nice beer.

From tap at the San Lucas location. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is dark roasted malt, chocolate and light coffee. Dark roasted malt towards hard roasted acidic. Coffee. Bitter. Slight sweet chocolate touch. Lingering dark roasted malt finish.
