Cranachan is a traditional Scottish dessert made from raspberries, honey, toasted oats and cream. We love it. So we made an oatmeal pale ale and smashed it with
enough local berries to feed a clan of hungry Highlanders.

Keg at the brewery open day. A light hazed purple plum coloured pour with a creamy light pink head. Aroma is nice tart raspberry, woody fruit, mixed woodland berries. Flavour is composed of semi sweet and tangy, woody raspberry mixed berries, blackberries,, oats, some creaminess.. Palate is semi sweet, sticky, tangy, moderate carbonation.

On keg at Six Degrees North Edinburgh. Thought I'd had and rated this years ago. Appearance - deep amber to brown with nice lacing. Nose - raspberry and oatmeal. Taste - lovely raspberry and creamy. Bread at the back. Palate - crunchy and close to medium bodied with sweet and crunchy finish. Overall - lovely beer.

(On tap) Clear reddish brown with small white head. Lovely raspberry aroma. Light body, medium carbonation. Enjoyable taste - raspberry and caramel malt. Very good.

Can. Brown colour, rocky head that stays for some time. Aroma is lots of raspberry syrup, also yoghurt, porridge. Medium sweetness, lightly sour. Medium body, lively carbonation. Very good!

Can from Brew Dog online shop. Malty aroma, raspberry, light caramel. Tastes the same as aroma, light sour notes, light to medium bitter. Medium body, malty raspberry bitter finish. Raspberry is not too dominant, good.

330ml can bought at BrewDog Tower Hill. Dissipating white tophead, cloudy orange coloured body, dotted spots on the glass. Mild raspberry aroma. Blended taste of strawberries, raspberries and biscuit. Ends with mid-sweet berries. Drinkable. (Shared with Finn on the train from Paddington to Swansea 30.09.2018).

Boks fra Brewdog Tower Hill. Delt med Rune på tog mellom London & Swansea. Varm gyldenrødbrun. Uklar. Middels høyt skum som daler raskt. God bringebæraroma. Smaken søte bær hvor bringebær dominerer. Lett tørr avslutning. Ble veldig søt.

Keg at the Temple,Brighton. Hazy orange pour with a white head. Aromas of raspberry jam, apricot, strawberry. Flavours of raspberry jam, lots of red fruit. Interesting brew.

Tap@Dispensary, Copenhagen (Fierce TTO 09/05/2018 with the Malmö crew) - orange pinkish coloured pour with white head. Sweet fruity with prominent raspberry notes, sweet honey and caramel notes, medium body, berry fruity finish.

Dark amber, bit hazy, thin white head
Aroma - lots of sweet raspberry, good nose but nothing else
Taste - massive sweet fresh raspberries, sweet, dab of honey
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, smooth, sweet but not overly so. Finish of fresh raspberry
Overall - Nice, loads of raspberry, but 2/3 pt is enough
