A clear rose/amber body with a very thin white head. The nose has a slight metallic edge to it with cranberry cocktail and a touch of spice. A very endearing sour/tart balance of fruity tastes. Cranberry, raspberry and strawberry notes are all there. A vegetal presence must be the beats! A touch of spice rounds out a refreshing brew.

Keg at Waller St. Brewing, Ottawa. Clear amber, small head. Red apples and vinegar up front. Dry with slender body clean, crisp mouthfeel. Cidery with cranberry tartness. Light spicy bitterness. Complex or downright complicated.

Enjoyed at the Loon. Pours a hazy golden-orange-red colour with a fizzy white cap, disappearing quickly and no lace. Sour nose with earthy and strawberry notes. With all of this, you can feel the beets overall. Sour taste with some decent vegetable notes in the finish. Quite a different, very interesting beer and worth trying. You can really feel the beets as the brew warms up.

A lightly reddish copper ale with a thick frothy light pinkish white head. In aroma, nice tart raspberry jam with light acidity, light earthy beet notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice tart sweet fruity raspberry jam, light cranberry, earthy character, light mineral notes, very nice for a first sour. On tap at Arrow and Loon.
