Black pour, medium beige head. Aroma is very hop forward, lots of pine resins and slightly burnt malts with hints of soy and coffee. Body and mouth feel are quite nice. Finish is hoppy and roasty. The American Porter definition is spot on. A nice roasty, hoppy Porter.

On tap at Walker St, pours a red-tinged dark brown with a medium tan head. Nose is quite woody, with medium roasted malt, and a robust dry hopping to balance. Flavour is certainly robust, with lots of dry hopping, some wood, and robust roasted malt. There's also a bit of fusel alcohols / glue in there that could be ironed out. Other than that relatively minor imperfection, this is pleasant enough.

Beau produit.

Keg at Waller St. Brewing, Ottawa. Black, rich creamy head. Gun powder, licorice and coffee up front. Dry with well sized body and dense, firm mouthfeel. Earthy licorice, coffee. Really bitter finish. Packed, yet dry, edgeless and nicely drinkable. World class.

A deep dark stout with a thick frothy lacing mocha head. In aroma, nice chocolate malt with nice sweet chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light vanilla, light coffee, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with light vanilla, chalky character, light coffee grind, musty character, nice and smooth. On tap at brewery.

Pours a very dark brown colour with a beautiful creamy-foamy head, great retention and lacing. Nice soft roasted malts and hints of apples after breathing a while. The taste is porter-like with some good dark fruits over the roasted malts with some light grass in the finish. A little oily in the mouthfeel with a small dry finish. A nice, not too thick porter that goes down beautifully with decent hops and fruits.
