Tap @ Mill Street Brewpub, Ottawa. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are sweet malt, hops, little bread and has a sweet malty finish.

Keg at Mill St., Ottawa. Clear pale amber, small head. Fruity nose with mild hay. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity and lightly ashy. Sone grass. Low-medium bitterness.

Draught @ the brewpub in Ottawa. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of malt, with hoppy notes and hints of smoke. Sweetish flavour of malt and yeast, with hoppy notes and fruity and smoky hints. Sweetish, estery aftertaste. Quite enjoyable and nice.

Clear blonde with one finger of white head. Smells of all malts up front with hay and grain, with a little stinky mash in the mix. Taste of soft malts with hay, a little sweetness but pretty basic. A little bitterness to the aftertaste. An OK beer.

Bottle from the Beer Store. Pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Nose is primarily grains and yeast. Sweet with barely a hint of bitterness. Pretty boring. Thin slick palate with very soft carbonation.

Average lager. Not entirely sure what the point of this is. Pours golden without head or lacing. Some light sweet malt is the only real aroma here. This is what beer tastes like across the river from Gatineau. Finishes with a kind of sweetened malt with a tinge of booze. Tap at Ottawa brewpub.

Purchased this one in a growler at the Ottawa pub (where it is made for this one only). Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a foamy head at first. The second pour gave me a creamier, long lasting, white cap with great lacing. Hoppy nose (grassy) over grainy malt with very mild spices. Oily, mildly creamy feel. Not sure if this one was infected, but has some sourness to it. Might have to try the draught version at the brewpud, next time I go.

A blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, light mineral malt with biscuit notes. In mouth, a crisp malt with grassy hops, not bad. On tap at Mill St. Ottawa location, Feb. 4 2012.
