We used the traditional parti-gyle method to produce one strong and one weaker beer from a single mash. The Cask of Darkness is the little sibling of Stockholm Noir. It's roasted, chocolatey and dry. 3,7%

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 10 Feb 2017) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, coffee and caramel. Malty, roasted taste with caramel, chocolate, dark bread and a balanced roasty bitterness in the finish. Light body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well made mild. Nice one.

Cask at Oliver Twist, 11/28/16.
Dark body shows good clarity in the light and a beige head atop with moderate to moderately strong retention.
Clean and with scrumptious chocolate and light espresso nuances. A bit of cream/honey/base malt what-have-you with not too much intensity from the roast nor any overabundance of caramel/crystal malts. Lightly fruity, but well-controlled in the ester department, as well.
Very drinkable, with a soft, watery texture sporting malt sweetness but proper attenuation and light char and espresso on the finish. Ample carbonation and really in top shape. Lovely stuff.
