RIS with cacao, vanilla and orange peel. Over 15 types of grain, vanilla, cocoa, orange peels, highly mineralized water… An extreme beer suiting our taste. Black color with a creamy brown top. Onyx offers quite rich aromas with hints of coffee, malt, cocoa and vanilla. A thick and complex flavor, a high percentage of alcohol.
Black and viscous… your soul is well cared... the comfort found in obscurity!

(Draught at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 16 Oct 2019) Dark brown colour, almost black, with creamy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and a touch of vanilla. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, liquorice, vanilla and a balanced cacao bitterness in the finish. Full body, with a touch of sweetness. Really tasty and very well balanced with alcohol well hidden. Great beer!

Bottled 330ml (Beergium) Opaque colour, small beige head. Coffee, vanilla, toasted malts in the nose. Full-bodied. Roasted, coffeish, cacao, dark chocolate in the flavour. Hints of vanilla. Much better than other version as this one lacks tonka bean flavours. Nice chocolaty imperial stout.

Bottle from Malt Atacks, Brussels, at home 26th January 2020. Pours black. Aroma is liquorice, ash, dark malts, roasty. Taste is nicely bitter, smooth, very hoppy, dark chocolate and cocoa, some citrus, a bitter finish. Really nice Impy that is not too sweet, like many I have had recently, good hoppy stout.

Gott

deep dark Brown colour, almost one inch of dense, creamy, long lasting brown head, aroma of roasted rye bread, coffee, ash, some burnt plum jam, dried cherry and burnt sugar; taste has the same notes with some vanilla and pecan nut notes; excellent Imperial stout!

Süffig malziger, trocken alkoholischer Beginn. Rund röstig, die Alkoholnote steigt an. Mittellanger, hopfig röstiger Abgang, wenig Schokolade. Lecker! 9/11/12/12/9/12
