As the name states, the oatmeal pale ale uses all-UK ingredients. We're putting out various prototypes of this beer as we experiment with traditional and new English hops. Expect earthier hop aromas and flavours but none of the drabness, we're Weird Beard after all!

Cask @ the Rake, Borough SE1. Pours a hazy golden pale orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty grassy citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity malty grassy citrus hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty grassy citrus hoppy finish.

Draft @ BBP Good Beer Feast 2016. Dorée, col fin blanc. Arôme au nez houblonné noble anglais mettant un bouquet alternant sur Fuggle et Ekg, pointe de citron vert, voire de thé, léger en levure surtout en rétro avec un accompagnement malté pils-Marris. Palais est malté, pils, houblonné noble légèrement épicée, râpeux avec une fine note noble citronnée. Sec et grains sur la fin.

Hazy gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is light, fairly dry and has a good fine crispness. Thin malts. Crispy floral mid. Trace of lime in the modest citrus. Light finish. Nice clean light pale ale.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy amber pour with a thin white head, aroma has caramel and red fruits, taste involves sweet malts, grainy action, some grass, quite lagery with some light citrus.

Keg at BD Clerkenwell. It pours cloudy pale orange with foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, bready, grass, hay and has some creaminess. The taste is crisp, clean, bitter, grass, minerals, grassy, straw, floral, spice and citrus peel with a dry, spicy finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not bad and for what it is.
