Bottled 330ml. -Trade with Gurthnar. Rye smoked saison...what a mix. Brownish coloured, small off-white head that went away fast, some odd banana apricot nose. Vinous malty, caramel, dried fruits, some caramel and touch of herbs with discreet notes of smoke. Light alcohol also. Messy but not bad.

33cl bottle from a trade with Cuso, many thanks! Pours almost clear dark reddish brown colour with a huge good lasting off-white head. Aroma of mild sweetish malt, dark malt, ham, red fruits. Taste of dark malt, coffee, bitter hops, some sweet bacon, caramel, liquorice, quite nice!

25/II/17 - 33cl bottle @ RBBWG (Beerlovers Bar, Antwerpen) - BB: ?/V/17 (2017-271) Thanks to Rubin77 for sharing the bottle!

Clear dark red brown beer, small creamy irregular beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: malty, grains, bit sweet, ripe banana, sugary. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very peated, smoky, bitter hops, more peat, unpleasant. Aftertaste: lots of peat, smoky, not very enjoyable for me.

On tap at B33R Gallery Very good smoked one! Color almost ruby. But what is important, it’s not so smoked. Well balanced piece from unorthodox team. Very good.

Thanks Gurthnar and Ogi! Poured a darker brown-amber body, with a tiny off white head and nearly no carbonation. Quite lovely, appropriate aroma, soft and pungent banana esters, well integrated with vinuous notes and light graininess. Taste... peppery, strong peppery, dry bitter, light banana again, medium ashy smoke to round things up. Chaotic, certainly unorthodox, unnecessarily bitter. Nearly a great bear, just nearly.

Bottle, thanks Gurthnar! Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is candy, peach. Taste is again peach, cheap candy, booze, some chocolate, spicy yeasts - not really smoky. Slightly boozy peppery finish. Medium carbonation. Not totally my type of beer, but it’s definitely interesting.

Tap at 100 piv. Quite interesting whirlwind of flavours in this one. ButI have to say not exactly to my liking. Intense, full bodied, initially sweet. Moderate impression of vegetables. Smoke quickly follows, with somewhat sharp character. The beer overall lacks a bit of balance - in my opinion. Not bad, but not for me.
