(Bottle) Hazy pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with herbs, tropical fruit, citrus, grapefruit and pine needles. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of bread, tropical fruit, pineapple, citrus, pine needles and a mild citric/herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and refreshing, but doesn't really take off. Quite enjoyable.

Bottled (from Systembolaget Umeå). Pale yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, mild catpissy and herbal notes. Flavour is fruity, some lavendel and mild herbal notes. Mild bitterness too.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of hops, spices, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, hops, spices, and malt, leading to a bitter finish.

Après la 100% Chinook, voici la version Ahtanum de cette série mono-houblon de chez Naparbier. Nous retrouvons d'ailleurs les limites de la précédente avec un équilibre perfectible et une présence moyenne (même si sur ce plan, cette version est un peu plus appréciable). Je ne pense donc pas qu'ici non plus, le houblon soit utilisé à sa juste valeur. Visuellement nous sommes sur un blond voilé traversé par de très fines bulles avec une mousse blanche d'environ 0,5 mm. Le nez est intéressant avec de l'orange, pamplemousse, pêche, mangue, herbes et légèrement mentholé. L'équilibre des arômes y est bien trouvé, ce qui est bien moins le cas à la dégustation où des épices avec poivre en avant sont beaucoup plus présentes. A l'attaque l'accompagnement aromatique hormis ces épices est d'ailleurs très discret. La deuxième bouche est en cela plus équilibré on retrouve les arômes présents au nez mais avec ce poivre un peu trop présent. La complexité est bonne de plus, même si ma corpulence est très moyenne. L’arrière-bouche, brouillonne reprend les travers de l'attaque. Bonne longueur sur un final qui se recentre sur l'amertume qui devient toutefois un brun agressive. L'alcool à 6% est honnête. Peut mieux faire.
