Poured into a plastic cup showing translucent rims and an opaque center. The nose shows intense blackberry notes. The palate is light to moderately carbonated, full bodied with a perfect fruit forwardness of black berries and a perfect tartness. Slightly too easy to drink and missing complexity and depth in flavors some would want from most sours but given this is the only blackberry sour that I know, this is very well done and surpassed my expectations.

Sample from bottle at Aces and Ales South Nellis. Pours a slightly hazy reddish-purple color with a medium white head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of tart berries, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of tart blackberry, herbal yeast, oak and doughy malt. The finish is moderately tart with a lingering blackberry aftertaste. Solid beer all around.

Tap. Pours hazy candy apple red, large pink creamy head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is fructe de padure, a hint of must. Flavor is light tart, blackberries, stems, a bit of must, oak tannins, light funk. Medium body. Tasty.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear ruby with small pinkish head. The aroma is strong berry, funk, oak. Thin mouth with jammy blackberry, light funk, oak, tart finish, really enjoyed this one.

Bottle from 2008 Pours a deep reddish purple with a huge off white head that slowly recedes to a cap. I can smell the berry aroma as soon as I pop the cap off the top of the bottle. Sweet light sugars with a hint of tart and funk round out the nose quite nicely. Nice fruity tart flavor with a moderate amount of puckering. Sweet stone fruit flavor with a hint of sweet sugary malt and a touch of funk. Medium body with a moderate to high level of carbonation and a tart puckering mouthfeel. This tastes a lot better than it smells. I actually really enjoyed this beer while watching zombies on the sci fi channel.

Cloudy purple - brown beer. Dry palate. Sharp and sour with a very dry finish. Not my favourite style but this is quite drinkable. No lemon acid and a decent amount of blackberry fruit coming through. Quite minerally in the finish.

Bottled (thanks after4ever). Quite much close to black colour, big brown head. Aroma is sour and wooden along with some mild berryish hints. Flavour is berries, sour wooden notes as well as some mild acidicness. Very pleasant sour ale.
