This delicious brew was made to showcase the range of what hops have to offer: fruity, dank, resinous joy. Made with 100% Idaho grown hops from Jackson Hop Farms- just a short jaunt from our brewery- along with a hefty portion of Crystal malts to increase the sticky malt and a teeny portion of Chocolate malt for color, this red IPA still manages to be supremely drinkable. It’s deep red color and chewy malt body play a supporting role to the huge nose of candied orange, pine, grapefruit, lemongrass and pineapple and the resinous, sticky hop bite. Beware the big, sticky hop monster!

12 oz can. Aroma is tropical fruit, earth, peach, caramel, citrus rind, pine. Pours hazy amber with a thick cream-colored head with excellent retention and layers of lace. Taste is medium high-level bitter with earthy and fruity hop flavors. Wow, way above expectations. I was at the brewery last year and wasn’t too impressed. This beer, along with a couple other bombers I’ve tried, is making me rethink this brewery.

Can thanks to Colin at the level 42 Xmas tasting. It pours clear deep amber - brown with a gigantic yellowish - beige head. The aroma is soft, sweet, sugary, brown bread, reins, toffee and wood. The taste is dry, bitter, sticky, resinous, wood, leather, booze, toffee, hint of alcohol and a touch of spice. Medium body and moderate carbonation. No game - changer, but drinkable enough anyhow.

Can shared in London - thanks to Colin. Pours clear orange with a creamy topping. The nose holds lit toasted pale malts, pine, orange peel. Light sweet flavour with more piney hop character, crackers, toasty grains, rindy citrus. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Resinous finish with nips of caramel, jammy citrus. Good red IPA.

Can split at L42 Pissmass Masacre, trade with Stevoj, 19/12/16. Reddish amber with a decent beige cap. Nose is candied, fruit peels, light spice, caramel, pine tingle. Taste comprises light pine, leafy hops, caramel, spice, toffee. Medium bodied, fine carboantion, semi drying close. Ok .... not a strong for me ... more a hoppy amber / IPA.

Can from Hayduke. Pours copper with a beige head. Aroma of fruit and floral. Med body. Flavor is nicely hoppy with a little juiciness and some moderate bitter. Fairly clean. No annoying chocolate for me. Pretty good stuff. Bitter builds over time.
