Sampled from the tap at 16 Tons. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges quickly. Aroma has a decent amount of earthy grass with a hint of resin and an earthy grain backbone. Flavor has a good amount of earthy pine supported by a light resin and a bread backbone.

12 oz goblet draft at APEX in Portland, Oregon. The pour is a pretty hazed orange golden with a 1 inch thick head that falls with coating lace. The aroma is cereal grain malt with grass floral hop. The taste is resin, floral, tropical fruit hop balanced nicely with the cracker cereal grain malt. The palate is medium bodied with natural carbonation. Finish is dry with a bit of mineral and a touch of bitterness. Solid.

2 hour drive from Boise to get my 50th barley brown beer. Yes fresh hop pallet jack 2014 gabf gold metal. Pours out a clear crisp golden topped with a white head. Nose is amazing so fresh citrus tropical fruit wow so amazing. Taste is not a let down citrus tropical fruit some pine a nice sweet caramel malt to keep it together. Now this is a PNW ipa not some bs hyped up Midwest or some east coast ipa. This is the real deal

On tap at Barley Brown’s Baker City. Pours out a hazy straw topped with a white head. Aroma of citrus, herbs, pine, sweetness, and some tropical fruit. Taste is great hop combo, light sweetness, with a great bitter end.

Growler thanks to TaborTime. Pours clear deep amber; confused here. Large creamy beige head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is pine, dankness, caramel, bready. Flavor is medium sweet and light plus bitter. Medium body. Meh. I guess I need to reconfirm this one, I am really confused why half the ratings call it amber/copper, and the other half call it golden.

Growler, brought back fresh by my new favorite co-worker! I’ve been wanting to try this for a long time and it doesn’t disappoint. Beautiful appearance, bright copper and topped with a thick and creamy sandy head. Huge citrus and pine notes, packed into the nose and taste… such good hop flavor. I really like the overall harmony of the flavors and it’s not overly bitter. One of the best in the PNW.

Draught at Apex, Portland
Hazy golden color. This is a super dry IPA with a strong animal character, a bit fruity, plenty of citrus oils and resins.
Very pleasant.
