Pours black, no real head. Smell is sweet, roasty malts, lactose-like creamyness. Taste is full, sharp, bit boozy. Barrel-forward (oak, some booze, not too much spirit aspects ) Medium fullbodied, lower average on the carbo. Nice, but perhaps a bit 1-dimentionnal on the sweet and boozy side. Didn't really pick up the maple here either.

Tap@MBCC 2018 Blue Session, Copenhagen - pours black with a tan head. Roasted and sweet malty with chocolate, caramel and sticky maple sweetness, burnt charred dark malty accents, full bodied, bourbon soaked wooden accents into the dark malty close.

Keg at MBCC 2018 Blue (session Zwei), 11/05/18. Black with a well presented tan covering. Nose is rich roast malts, chocolate, rummy waft, caramel melt. Taste comprises chocolate cake, bourbon kiss, molasses, mellow roast, light black peppery spice, toffee. Full bodied, light oily mouthful, balanced warming alcohol at the curtain call. Solid well balanced impy stout ... nice barrel tones.

9 4 9 4 18Bottle shared at Not Breaking The Bake’s Tasting. Black with a ring brown head. Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, dark chocolate, maple, oak, rum and coffee. Flavour is heavy sweet and above moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

On tap at MBCC 2018. Pours black with brownish head. Chocolate, cocoa, nuts, maple, nutella, vanilla, coffee. Quite sweet with bitterness in finish. Smooth, low carbonation. Full bodied.

[5/11/18] Draught sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018. Blue session. Black, brown foam. Big dark chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, wood, fudge, brownie, sweet, full-bodied, rounded, a bit of alcohol. Amazing.

MBCC 2018. Blue. Blood and Fists session. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth dry dark malts, good creamy dark chocolate. Nicely integrated fruity bourbon. Just a little bourbon spice. Fruity bourbon finish. Very nice.

MBCC. Black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla and maple. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. Oily. 110518
