Being a celebration of the quintessentially British strawberry, this beer shouts fruit.
Starting life as a foudre-aged Somerset Wild, it was then refermented on 400kgs of super fresh Somerset strawberries that gives this beer a sublime aroma and flavour that packs a punch...

Keg at Brewdog 7 Dials, 29/06/22. Light golden blonde with a pinkish hue topped with a white cap. Nose is strawberry pips, light floral notes, modest funk, damp straw, herb. Taste comprises tarte strawberries, damp straw, light funk, farmyard, green berry must, hedgerow. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light puckering shmack. Solid easy drinking sour ... the strawberry is well balanced and sharp and doesn't run sweet at any point.

On tap at Wild Beer Wapping Wharf. Pours opaque pink orange with minimal head. The aroma has strawberry jam, apricots, funk, yoghurt. On the taste there is lactic & acetic, tart strawberries, creamy yoghurt & cider apple funk vibes. Light carb, medium bodied. Dry, sharp, tart fruit finish. Lovely

Tap at Beergeek, with Gurthnar. Orange-amber-golden, slightly hazy body. Huge strawberry jam aroma, actual, real strawberry jam, loving it! The taste is basically mixing that same strawberry jam / candy presence with mild funk and a sharp lactic tartness, with some mild acetic notes being out of sync with the rest, just dragging it slightly down. Still, an excellent fruited wild beer that really hit the spot for me!

Tap at Beergeek. Quite assertive sourness, mix of lactic, acetic and fruit-derived by the feel of it. Loads of fruit character too, very natural feeling, lots of strawberry. Loads of milkshake too. Rather thin, moderate carbo. Drinkable. Quite good.
