Thank you for sharing German speaking RB Crew! Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ ZBF 2017. Tripel with whisky soaked wood chips aged in oak barrels if I remember correctly. Nose is faitnly medicinal, odd maybe the alcohol but largely sweet honey, vanilla, oak, low bourbon, sugar malt, bourbon tripel,... Medicinal note is unfortunate but otherwise nice. Taste is bit fizzy but other than the fizzy part, good oak, sugar, apple, honey, vanilla oak, sweet bourbon, oak, candy malt,... I like aged tripels, hope that they get some of the kinks out of this one, perfect & release a bigger batch.

Sampled at Zythos 2017. Thnx for sharing ☺ Pours clear, amberblonde. Sma white head. Smell is mild sweet, weak. Some vegetal notes. Taste is bitter, grainy. Not very good. Sweet, ho ey like, buttery malts (might be from a bourbon barrel ? ) the level of quality here for sure explains the unfriendly attitude of the only (!) Brewer on the festival that didn’t wanna do half pours, even though the beer was more expensive.

23/IV/17 - 75cl bottle @ Zythos Bier Festival 2017 (Leuven) - BB: n/a (2017-502) Thanks to kraddel for sharing today's beers!

Clear orange beer, creamy irregular white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. aroma: sweet, bit fruity, orange peel, caramel. MF: lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sweet, fruity, sugary, orange peel. Aftertaste: little bitter, fruity, sugary. Well, I guess now we know why Tripels aren't being barrel /oak aged constantly...
