Can from Konzum Trešnjavački Plac. Anyway. Full golden body, completely clear, lasting white head. They made it look good, that's for sure! And that's where any good impressions stop. Aroma.... dull dry caramel and rough herbal notes, some cardboard - and it's a can 5 months from the expiry date... Taste... cardboard, dust, light apple, generic sweetish maltiness, some herbal touches in the finish. A very, very badly made lager really, a complete mess and a waste of money. Reading some of the other reviews - guess they have some problems with constistency and/or QC again, or Konzum kept this near a heater for months. And, honestly, its name and its branding is completely bullshit (The First Croatian Beer being the name of this beer). You see, the Osijek brewery is claiming that it's the oldest in the country. In reality, Daruvar's brewery is older continually existing brewery. The Osijek people set their start at whenever the earliest traces of brewing in Osijek are uncovered - moving the year recently from 1695 to 1664, even though those breweries had nothing to do with this brewery. But hey, whatever floats their boat...

4,5% alk. Obična lager piva, ništa posebno. Ništa nemam pametno reći što mi se urezalo u sjećanje.

(bottle 0,5l) Overall: Meh, another grainy international lager. Aroma: Light sweet, grainy. Appearance: Clear golden. Minimal white head. Taste: Strong grainy, medium sweet. Palate: Medium body.

Canned 500ml. -from local Konzum. Clear golden coloured, medium sized white head, grainy nose. Grainy, bready, cereals, notes of corn and sweetish watery finish. Just another boring lager.
