Deemed by many to be the most beautiful of all the flowers of the world, it's quite clear that such distinction came at a great cost for the red rose.

Countless stories set up to reveal its crimson origin, but not many seem to have a joyous outcome. Such ancient love stories usually damaged by deceit, jealousy and the often bloody loss of someone cherished.

There's a dangerous, yet beautiful nature surrounding the rose - be it from Aphrodite's tearful lament over the lifeless body of her lover Adonis, or from Psyche's tragic ordeals at the hands of a jealous rival.

Either way, one should be cautious of its prickly thorns all the time.

Hazy amber, white head. Smells of white loaf and flowery somewhat bubble gummy. Similar taste - mild rosebud marmalade, some coriander like spice, prickly carbonic acidity. Not the worst witbier, though, flavourings certainly do nothing but harm.
