The energy and audacity of the fixed gear courier inspired us to create Fixed Gear™, a big, bold American Red IPA. It pours a glaring crimson tone with a rocky white head and a brilliant floral-citrus aroma, thanks to an aggressive Centennial, Cascade, and Chinook dry hopping. Gratuitous amounts of dark caramel malts lend Fixed Gear™ its immodest, malty spine, while Chinook and Cascade hops impart its balanced citrus bite. This one’s got an attitude!

Copper color, light floral hop and malty aroma. Flavor is strong floral hop bitterness with a subdued caramel malt sweetness underneath and at the finish. Hoppy IPA aftertaste.

(Kiev 2016) 355 ml. bottle. BBF 05.10.16. Cough syrup amber with a small tanned head. Nose is pine resin & cough syrup, bit too heavy on the biscuit malt, light sugar. Taste is medium herbal hops, bit too much biscuit & toffee, tad too sweet, low bitterness, herbal pine, tad too sweet, lightly bland, low medicinal hops in the finish. Creamy toffee & biscuit body. Doesn’t really pop but still a pleasant enough and easy beer, not bad, could have been more but not bad as it is.
