Bij ‘L'Or Noir’ denken we al snel aan het zwarte goud van ons mijnverleden. Deze frisse, zachte tripel wordt gebrouwen met 4 verschillende granen en 50% Belgische hopsoorten. Het bier kleurt mooi goudgeel in het glas en heeft een forse schuimkraag. Kompel L'Or Noir hergist in de fles waardoor het bier beter beschermd is en een complexer karakter ontwikkelt.

Clear gold blond beer, big solid creamy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: sweet impression, honey, a bit oxidized, malty, fruity, ripe pears, some tropical fruits. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: soft bitterness, a bit sweet, honey, grains, a bit metallic, more honey, oxidized, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: malty, soft bitterness, banana, yeasty, sweet, a bit sugary, very yeasty.

Bottle at home, clear golden beer, small head. Aroma is sweet, yeast, malt, grain. Taste is the same, sweet, yeast, bitter, malt, grain, honey. ok

Huge white head over hazy, well-carbonated yellow beer, shards of lace. Sweet, almost vanilla-like nose, molasses, sweet almonds, bit herbal. Dry, spicy/herbal flavour, garden herbs & weeds, leaves. Candi sugar, other grains, alcohol(sweetness). Quite aggressively carbonated; very slick, slight alcoholwarming. The 4 grain idea might have made it interesting, but the result doesn't convince me. Bottle from Cafe Frape Maastricht. Clear gold colour lasting white head. A little musty on aroma too fizzy in mouth. Some citrus fruit. Not a great beer. Pretty ordinary

33cl bottle from Albert Heijn supermarket in Maasmechelen. F: big, white, good retention. C: pale gold, light hazy. A: malty, banana, apples, spicy, coriander, peach, bit bready. T: full malty base, banana, spicy, red apples peels, bready, peach, pears, nice balanced bitterness, higher carbonation, good one yet nothing memorable in the ocean of tripels in Belgium, enjoyed.

Kompel L'Oir Noir. (Tripel)
Bottle shared at tasting. Clear yellow color, white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly grainy, moderately bitter, malty bitter and a slight sweet hint. Hmm okay, not too bad. 7-7-7-7-7

Flesje gedeeld met Keukenman, Benzai en Tomhendriksen. Amberkleurig bier met een volle schuimkraag die als een film blijft liggen. roma van sinaasappel en mandarijnen. De smaak is zoet en citrusachtig. Nasmaak is iets bitter.

Fles gedeeld door Inoven, geprobeerd met LiekevdV, Benzai en Keukeman. Het is een goudgeel bier met een witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van mout en gist. De smaak is moutig, zacht zoet en bloemig.
