(Kiev 2016) 500 ml. bottle at Klaipeda. BBF 28.10.2016. Probably same bar as the previous two raters. Dark brown amber, creamy tanned head. Nose is sweet honey, plastic, chestnut and old leaves. Taste is dull watery leaves, low butter, rather empty with some bread, chestnut & low dull bread. Body is low butter, tad watery, bit empty. Some potential but too bland, plastic & watery too really shine in the end.

Bottle. Probably the same bar as Mansquito. Hazy reddish copper with small frothy off-white head, spicy caramel aroma, sweet honey- caramel taste, thin body, abrupt finish with faint caramel aftertaste. Not bad at all.

At some weird Lithuanian bar in Kyiv: pours a murkey brown with beige head. Aroma is honey, malt, and sugar. Taste is rather sweet. Burnt honey type taste. Not bad but not my thing.

Another of these tradisional Lithuanian weirdoes, only a 500 ml bottle this time. Thanx to larsga. Samplet May 2014. Unclear amber body with a small, but dense off-white head. Aroma is yeasty with bread, some caramel and hint of dry fruit. Flavor is sweetish, but not really sweet malt, some yeast, dry fruit, low bitterness and slightly acidic. Medium body and aftertaste. Unusually, interesting, not bad but difficult to compare and rate.

Medium beige head. Slightly hazy deep dark red body. Caramelized sugar and earth aroma with herbal nutty notes. Sweetish earthy licorice taste with caramelized sugar and herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, slick, flat mouthfeel. Dryish earthy herbal buttery aftertaste with mealy caramelized sugar notes. Nice and highly drinkable. Subtle and harmonic. (0.5l bottle, from Bambalyne, Vilnius.)

Bottle 500ml @ Hostel room - Anker Hostel, Oslo
Pours slightly hazy brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, butterscotch and dried fruits. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with a long toffee and fruity finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, thx to larsga and joet. An almost clear one, dark amber to brown in color and with a dense finger-thick light beige head. The aroma has a touch of diacetyl, with toffee, prunes, dried figs, nuts and an earthy touch. Nutty, caramel flavor with a hint of diacetyl. Some dark rye bread hints, not much sweetness, and none or next to no bitterness. Croquant, dried figs, yeast notes and a faint chocolate touch too. Very smooth on the palate, velvety, medium bodied and quite low on carbonation. Caramel, nuts, dried figs and some earthy yeastyness in the end. A very complex beer, not a favorite of mine, but interesting and quite tasteful. 140503
