Ziegler-Bräu Hopfazupfa Weisse, Flasche von Getränke Ecker, Mainburg. - Flasche schäumt beim Öffnen über. - Helles Goldbraun, stark trüb. - Nase hefig-weizenmalzig und banal fruchtig, etwas Orange, zart säuerlich. - Antrunk spritzig-leicht weizenmalzig mit Hefe, Orangenschale und Klee. Stark rezent, dünn im Mund. Nur äußerst milde Hopfung. Zart säuerlich-hefiger Abgang. - Enttäuschend leichtes, dünnes Hefeweizen mit den üblichen langweiligen Weizenbieraromen. Weizen ist doch fast immer Zeitvergeudung. (25.5.2022.)

On tap at Ziegler Bräu Mainburg 52km into our cycle ride today, Tuesday 22nd September 2020. Pours hazy orange/gold with a white head. Nice wheat beer, some sweetness, banana, cloves, nice soft mouthfeel, a little bitterness. Very nice.

Tap at Hallertauer Bierfestival 2012. Cloudy yellow, solid white head. Fresh fruity nose, light. Medium to light body, sparkly. Lemongrass and banana flavors. Medium light body, creamy mouthfeel. Pleasant wellbalanced weizen, would drink this any day.

Bottle (Dank an Quack-Duck!): Cloudy, visible carbonation, orangey coloured, small off-white head; sourish wheaty nose with bananas and a tinge of herbal hops; moderate sweet-sourish flavour, medium bodied; drier wheaty-hoppy finish, slightly lingering. Good, unusual Weizen.............

(bottle) Cloudy, dark orange colour with a diminishing light-beige frothy head. Sourish and slightly sweet wheat-malty aroma with notes of green banana, vanilla and a shy tinge of herbal hops, accompanied by traces of cloves. Slightly sourish and bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Present wheat character with a light fruity note of banana and herbal hoppy notes. Finishes sourish, minimal hoppy and clovy. Likeable, slightly hoppy Ur-Weisse (16.V.09).

Stark schäumendes Bier, das aber auch schnell wieder in sich zusammenbricht. Hefig-herber Antrunk, etwas spritzig, mild. Die Hefigkeit hält sich stark in Grenzen und wird im Mittelteil milder, stattdessen wird das Bier leicht malzig, was sich in den Unterton ausbreitet. Zum Ende lascher. Etwas langweilig das Weizen.
