Black. No head. Strong aroma of roasted coffee. Similar flavour. Despite the light body it’s full flavoured. Bittersweet and dry.

Bottle @ LIBF’16. Shared with the RB Belgian team.

At LIBF. Thin, pale beige, quickly dissolving head over a blackish beer with burgundy edges. Aroma of coffee grounds and cold black coffee, nut shells, leather, dried tree leaves, haemoglobin iron, black olive. Sourish and umami flavors, some very subdued sweetishness but less so than in most other commercial coffee stouts, softish carbo, oily and smooth body, pleasant nutty, dry malt middle, a tad metallic, deep rye spicy touch, very toasted and coffeeish with retronasal black coffee aroma. Very enjoyable coffee beer, but could have been named coffee stout as well as coffee porter.

16/V/16 - sample @ Leuven Innovation - BB: n/a (2016-564) Thanks to the Belgian RB crew for sharing today's beers!
Clear dark brown to black beer, no head. Aroma: coffee, more coffee, that's it. Nothing else. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: lots and lots of cold coffee, pretty bitter, roasted, charcoal, ashes. Aftertaste: bit metallic, all coffee, nothing else. Nope, I don't mind a touch of coffee, but this is just cold coffee, not a beer. And I don't like cold coffee. :p

T: malty, natural coffee ground, dark chocolate, woody, hint of cocoa, dry on the palate, watery but very tasty, light body, lower carbonation, 500ml bottle from Leuven Innovation Beer Festival May 2016, BB: 28/07/2016.

500 ml. bottle. BBF 30.05.2016. Black with no head. Nose is real coffee, roasted heavily going towards ashes, bitter real coffee beans, bit much for me in that aspect not being a real coffee drinker & preferring sweet coffee stouts, good amount of ashes & almost plant-like roast. Taste is oily herbal coffee, ashes, cold strong tea, low herbal, ashes, real cold coffee, bit much on ashes & herbal, more for real coffee drinkers, oily, low herbal. Softer carbonation, oily, thick cold coffee. Low touch too oily & vegetable for max; fun. Nice, interesting, strong cold coffee, low ashes, herbal,… interesting & might appeal more to real coffee drinkers. Neat stuff still. Fun.

Barwa czarna nieprzejrzysta. Piana beżowa, bardzo słaba i szybko opada. W aromacie kawa i gorzka czekolada w rownej proporcji. W smaku gorzka czekolada, kawa, wyrazna przyjemna kawowa paloność. Ciut wodniste ale bardzo gładkie.

Piękna, obfita, beżowa, drobnopęcherzykowa (wręcz kremowa) piana. W aromacie przede wszystkim Świeża, palona kawa, nieco w tle paloność od słodów i kwaskowość. Ładny, intensywny zapach. W smaku również intensywna kawa, paloność i dość mocna kwaskowość. Piwo bardzo wytrawne. Goryczka niska do średniej, kawowa, dość zalegająca. Piwo gęste, oblepiające, aczkolwiek przez swą wysoką wytrawność sprawia wrażenie trochę wodnistego. Brak mu słodyczy by wydobyć większą pelnię. Nagazowanie niskie. Reasumując: zbyt wytrawne. Zwiększenie słodyczy podniosłoby pełnie i odczucie piwa. Tym niemniej całkiem przyjemne.
