Bottle at home. Aroma is shitloads of cold coffee, some mocha, coffee beans, malt, hint of ash, dark bread, hint of roast. Flavour is light sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Body is light to medium. Quite an intense coffee flavour to this beer. Overall it’s a bit on the thin side, but the big coffee aroma makes up for it.

Keg at Piwpaw Beer Heaven, Warsaw, 06/04/17. Black with a decent tan cap. Nose is big on coffee grinds, spice, chocolate sprinkle, earthy malts. Taste comprises dark malts, toffee, coffee cake, brown sugars, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent enough coffee stout.

Birthday bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker; thanks to Anke & family!
Best before: 28 July 2016.
Pours cloudy black with a thin, beige head. The aroma contains lots of coffee (roast) - very intense in the smell, dark chocolate, roasted malt, faint dark fruits, some smoke & soy sauce. It tastes light sweet, medium roasted bitter and a tad umami. Long, though subtle toasty finish. Medium/light body, slick (almost watery) texture, soft to flat carbonation. Well, it delivers what it promises; could have benefited from a bit more alcohol perhaps.
