At Internationales Berliner Bierfestival 2016. Amber with a small head. On the sweet side with malt, caramel, grain and light fruit.

75 cl bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is breadish and caramelish. Dry, breadish and roasted. Metallic and dark malty finish.

Draught at BBF15. Dark brown to black with a frothy head. Aroma of malt and liquorice. Flavour is malt, caramel, brown sugar. Syrupy, sweet finish.

Bügelverschlußflasche (75 cl) aus einem Nahkauf-Markt in Bernau. - Tiefes Rotbraun, klar, kurzlebiger Schaum. - In der Nase dunkles Malz, matte Röstaromen und schwacher, muffiger Hopfen. - Antrunk kräftig dunkelmalzig und matt karamelsüß; zart säuerlich abgeschmeckt. Blasse, nicht besonders hochwertige Röstnoten: etwas Mokka, ein wenig Asche. Schlank, eher dünnes Mundgefühl. Im Abgang treten die Röstaromen kräftiger hervor, dafür mangelt es an Hopfen: bis auf einen Anflug von säuerlich-krautiger Herbe ist da wenig zu schmecken. - Etwas blasses, holpriges Dunkles mit deutlichem Hopfendefizit. Wenig überzeugend (und deutlich überteuert).

Plumper dunkler Antrunk, wenig herb, laff. Auch wenn die Malzigkeit noch etwas steigt monoton, kaum hopfig, minimal hefig. Laffes, etwas röstiges Ende. 9/7/8/7/9/7
