San Francisco, a.k.a “The Paris of the West,” has long been home to a diverse culture of bohemians and a bastion of art, creativity, and progressive thinking.

This decadent dark quadrupel-style ale was created in that same spirit–brewed with dark candi sugar, dried flame grapes, and orange peel, then fermented with a French ale yeast. Pair with funky Roquefort cheese and visions of a grand tomorrow!

Shared bottle at local tasting. Very dark brown colour. Nice aroma of malts, brown kandij sugar, caramel, molasses and dark dried fruits. Moderately sweet and fruity flavour, the same elements as in the aroma, but unexpectedly sour and vinegary.

0.65l bottle. Looks nice this. A cloudy deep amber brown colored body with a small islandy beige top. Nose-vise it's really raisin sweet and dark fruity. Lots of dark candied sugar, hints of vanilla. Oh, it's sour. Sourish. Get the orange peel in the mouth and taste for sure. Sour red currants and a little alcohol. It has a nice oily texture in the mouth and it's just above average on the carbonation. Not your typical quad but I definitely liked it. 14.04.2017

brown colour, half inch creamy and quite stable beige head; aroma of slightly burnt plum jam, raisins, orange peel, hints of anise and burnt sugar; taste of intensive, slightly burnt plum jam made from unripe (sourish) plum, raisins, burnt sugar,soursih-woody notes, slight citruses, hints of dark chocolate and maybe some anise, too; not bad, though not among the best of the style

Bottle, 650 ml from Beergium. Shared with rest at the grand tasting 11/2016.Pours brown with small off-white head. Malty, roasted, citrus, orange, ripe fruit, caramel. Light sweetness and moderate acidity. Light to medium bodied. Weird for a quad.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is yeast, dark fruit, pure sugar, wood. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, boozy finish, good.
