One of Beerstorming’s already countless one-offs with a mixture of common and much less common spices, in this case long black pepper (’timiz’) and cardamom. Off-white, moussy, stable head, lightly hazy orangey amber colour. Aroma struck me with dry meat-related qualities of chicken sausage or even tofu, the sweetishness of cardamom, chestnut mushroom, caramel, apple peel, hints of soap, honey and baker’s yeast - weird but not unattractive. Soft fruity onset, low in esters but still hints of apple and apricot, something vaguely tomato-like, cardamom becoming more and more apparent from the middle onwards, over a medium carbonated, softly and lightly bready middle with just a touch of caramel, increasing yeastiness towards the finish with retronasally that meat-like quality again, soft pepper flavor (the timiz well positioned at the back), soapy quality too, juicy, with a light hint of earthy hop bitterness which I assume has been deliberately kept subtle so as not to interfere too much with the spices, but resulting in a somewhat thin finish. Again a different, unusual beer, enjoyable, but a bit thin.

Bouteille 33cl.

Sampled draft @ Beerstorming. Dark orange amber with an off-white head. Nose is big oily spices, tea, Spanish pepper. Taste is oily, low smoked tea, some malts, sweetish, low pine & some Spanish pepper. Oily & tad yeasty body. Interesting spice beer, not really getting cardamom here.
