SWAF is an extremely refreshing light blond beer! It is an artisanal beer of high fermentation, undiluted and unpasteurized. The “thirsty” version of Dr. Gab’s.

330ml bottle from Noz Hazebrouck. Beer two of Sunday lager party. Pours a lightly misty gold, white head. Sweeter, smoother than the Northdown before this with blonde aspirations. Appeals to my sweet tooth.

Drinking it yesterday in the M2 with my wife, coming back from les Mosses and Mon Repos. A classical helles, nothing special, make the job to be refresh on the German way with a hint of fruity hop, bitter and a bit citrus, dry malt, mineral, my wife bought it for me at the coop Caroline.

On a park bench alongside Lake Geneva in Montreux, Switzerland. From the can. Standard pale lager aroma. Standard pale lager flavor too. A little grainy, with a very slight chemical finish. Medium body and medium carbonation. Low bitterness. A decent macro tasting lager.

On tap at International Beer Bar in Zurich. Aroma is grain forward and a bit bready with light herbal, woody hop note. Faint, poopy, sulfur note but not in an off-putting way - I don't think it's from fermentation and may be from the hops. Pours a slightly hazy, pale yellow-gold with a medium large, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes steadily to the edges where it lingers. Medium low lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with light grain notes and a bit of bread. Medium light bitterness and faint alcohol warmth. Medium light peppery, herbal hop notes. Mouthfeel is light bodied and crisp with medium carbonation. Low astringency and faint alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid lager if you want one that has a bit of character to it. The hop notes are noticeable and in a bit of a non-traditional way with a malt presence that is a bit more pronounced. Still finishes fairly dry and crisp.

clear golden colour, one inch of dense and quite stable white head; aroma and taste of a malt-dominant lager with some cardboard, metallic and floral/honey-like notes…I would not say that it is bad…but is it really a golden/blond ale?...because as a golden ale, it is not really good…
