A classic among American hop varieties, Columbus lends the dank, spiky, resinous notes to offset the soft, juicy passionfruit and mango flavours of Mosaic. An oily, savoury character offsets the fruity sweetness, with a palate-coating dry, zesty finish.

Keg at Brew By Numbers taproom, Bermondsey, London. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, tropical fruit, mango, orange aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, tropical fruit, mango, orange, bitter/sweet. Decent enough DIPA if a little harsh.

Keg at BBNo. It pours lightly hazy amber with a thick white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, bright orange, marmalade, Irn Bru and pine. The taste is dry, bitter, fresh, juicy, peachy, orange marmalade, pine needles, straw, peppery spice and light alcohol with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate foamy carbonation. Decent.

Thx! for sharing Benzai! Sampled draft @ Van Moll Fest 2016. Dark hazy orange, creamy off-whtie head. Nose is pine resin, orange peel, nicely hoppy. Taste is far too milky, sweet milky with zest, big floral bitterness, yoghurt sweetness, yeast .Far too milky for me& bit yeasty going toward yoghurt notes. Bit of a disappointment.

20.08.2016, tap @ BrewDog Oslo:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head, hazy. Aroma is slightly fresh concentrated grassy, leafs, moss, fresh hops, minerals, lawn, dried fruits, citrus peel, light malts, pine needles. Taste is slightly dry concentrated grassy, leafs, weeds, fresh hops, bark, lawn, moss, minerals, citrus peel, paper, soil, medicine. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry and harsh grassy mouthfeel. Nice, but could have been amazing. Too harsh and bitter taste...
