33cl bottle from Tourist info office in Antwerpen-Centraal. F: medium, egg-white, good retention. C: gold, hazy. A: citrus, bit banana, apples, bit bready, tropical fruits touch. T: medium to full malty base, orange, banana, apples, herbal spicy, nice balanced long lasting bitterness, medium carbonation, more like Belgium IPA actually, enjoyed.

Good, huge, light-yellowish head, very stable and shards of lace over fully clear, metallic orange-copper beer. Wild hops, green garden weeds, greenmalt. Light bitterish flavour with faint lightly coloured malts behind; lightly toasted breadcrust or puff pastry. Herbal-weedy aftertaste, getting a bit perfumey warming up (coriander?). Quite slick, medium bodied, soft carbonation. Far from bad, one of their better tries.

Donkergeel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig en licht zoet kruidig met iets van graan. Standaard goed bier maar niet echt bijzonder.

Tripel brewed for De Reuzen, the association behind the traditional, folkloristic procession of giants; executed by Cabardouche and sampled at BCBF. Moussy, lacing, snow white head, almost clear 'old gold' robe. Aroma of dried banana, butter (probably diacetyl), apple, white bread, grass, raw cauliflower, bird seed, gin. Restrainedly sweetish onset, hard pear and unripe banana notes (more so than the expected sweet banana ester), apple-ish sourish accent, minerally carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. Cereally malt core with thin and clean bready edges, herbal and grassy, floral hop bitterishness in the finish alongside gin-like, warming alcohol. Your classic, easygoing, accessible but correct Belgian tripel, not sweet like so many other ones these days, but nothing exciting - clearly aimed at the larger masses.

Sampled @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017. A clear pale golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of mild sweet malt, belgian yeast. Taste of mild sweet yellow fruits, sweet malt, belgian yeast.

14/VIII/17 - 33cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk) @ home - BB: n/a, bottled: VIII/2016 (2017-1210)
Clear blond to orange beer, big creamy white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: quite some citrus, some tropical fruits, bit spicy, touch of passion fruit and mango. MF: too much carbonation, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter right from the start, some citrus, fruity, bit resinous. Aftertaste: really bitter, fruity touch, some kiwi, grassy, grapefruit. Almost like an Belgian IPA, I guess through the use of new world hops?

330 ml. bottle @ Antwerp Craft Beer Fest. Light hazy sparkling golden, big bubbles white head. Nose is mellow soap, flowers, washing products, low hop, low bitterness, lightly fruity hops, grains. Taste is grains, oats, cereal, fizzy esters, flowers, very dull estery blond Belgian with some plastic, faint bitterness. Fizzy, plastic. Largely just dull & ignorable. Yeast / bottom of the bottom was horrible, plaster, plastic & massive chemical unpleasantness. Otherwise quite meh, nothing wrong but bland estery brew with sweetness, cereal,… Definite step down for me from their other beers.

Pours clear blonde, huge white head. Smell is malty , very sweet ( annoying sweetness, a mixture of honey-like aspects and Sugar, with some malty sweetness to it as well ) Taste is bit bitter, malty, very yeasty though. Sweetness is way more OK than i would have thought, but this is ’just another’ Belgian ale that actually turns out to be a yeasty blonde, bit bitter beer. We already have too much of those, and from a Brewery like this, i simply have more expectations...
