A still cider made from a blend of the Egremont Russet & Bramley apple varieties.

Egremont Russet apples have a very distinctive flavour which is often described as slightly nutty. It is one of last apples to be picked on our orchard.

Adding Bramley enhances and complements the sweetness and creates a full bodied flavorsome blend.

Bladder bag from their stall at Sandwich food and drink festival, 18/05/19. Clear golden topped with a few bubbles. Nose is dusty apples, hay bale, earthy, wood. Taste comprises apple orchard, tannins, apple core, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, big fuck off drying close. Ok but felt short changed on the hefty ABV in terms of depth of flavour delivered.

Thank you for sharing! Sampled from Bag-in-Box @ Gents Bierfestival 2016. Pale golden with no head. Nose is mineral spoiled apple juice with unpleasant sweetness, sulfur, rotting apple & very cheap white wine. Taste is akin to very poor white wine, sulfur, lemon, zest, spoiled apple, worst mineral,… Too sweet on top. Really not good.

Bottled. A light golden cider with a thin bubbly off-white head. The aroma has notes of smoked whiskey and apples. The flavor is cloyingly sweet with notes of tart apples and some smoked whiskey, leading to a tart over ripe apply finish. The whiskey works a lot better in the aroma than the flavor. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a clear yellow with a tiny, rough white head. Distinct whisky aroma - Scotch - with apples as well. Medium body, completely still, dry apples, but the whisky dominates. Dry and astringent finish, but not overly sour. Very unusual and different. However I’m a little confused here as the description doesn’t mention anything at all about whisky. Is this a different version? 200310
