O world! Barbarians, dwarfs and other amazing creatures.
We present a hoppy India Pale Ale with lots of tropical fruit aromas and a creamy smooth finish due to the added lactose.

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Drukket på Lillehøgda. Gyldengul. Uklar. Veldig høyt luftig skum. Litt lacing. Aroma av tropisk frukt. Smaken mango & plommer. Blir syrlig etter hvert. Litt for mye kullsyre. Litt bunnfall.

Bottle. Hazy yellow color with huge white head. Aroma is grassy, biscuity malts, mango and pine, a touch sweatsocks, but not too much. Taste is mango, passionfruit, biscuity malts again. Silky mouthfeel with above average, but soft carbonation. Fruity finish and aftertaste. Drier than expected from a lactose beer. Very nice!

Bottle, 0.33l. Pours murky pale straw color with large soapy white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of passion fruit, resin, ripe tropical fruit and a bit of sweat. Taste starts light sweet grainy, following is juicy fruity, a bit yeasty and smooth lactic, mouthfeel is mild spicy, while finish is grassy bitter. Light to medium body, thin texture and lively carbonation in palate. Barbarian disappointment...

330ml bottle @ Firefly, Worcester. Pours a misty yellow, large white head. Nice bright fruity aroma, pleasant citrus fruits. Taste is quite hoppy, with good tropical notes, citrus, lemon, soft bitterness. Nothing crazy, just a solid hoppy IPA.

Bottle. Hazy yellow golden body with a big white head. Strong tropical juice aroma with some grapefruit and grassy hops. Flavor is tropical fruit dominated with sharp grassy bitterness, close to hop pellets. Medium body and bitter tropical juice aftertaste. Refreshing but a bit to one dimensional.

15.07.2017, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Big bubbly-creamy longlasting head, hazy. Aroma is slightly dry floral, weeds, hay, flowers, co2 stinging in the nose, leafs, lawn, bark, sap, pine needles, moss, hops. Taste is dry floral, weeds, hay, lawn, bark, flowers, alcohol, pine needles, light malts, moss, fruit stones, paper, fresh wood. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly harsh floral mouthfeel. Fair enough.

On tap at The Bottle Shop Bermondsey. Cloudy pale gold colour lasting white head. Big pineapple tropical fruit aroma. Wheat or oats in the mouth maybe. Light to moderate bitterness on the finish. A little dankness on the hop aroma. But mostly pineapple in thd mouth. Ok carbonation. Hides abv well. Lots of leafy hop on the finish. Good.

Keg at Bottleshop. It pours cloudy dirty blonde with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, ripe fruits, stone fruit, nectarine, peachy, apricot, bready, orange creamiscle and candy. The taste is smooth, mellow bitterness, tannin, green, grassy, ripe citrus, mango, peach, floury bread, graininess and dry wood. Finish is pretty drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not bad. A bit floury perhaps.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Cloudy yellow, mid sized head. Aroma of citrus and papaya. Sweetish with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Saccharine and wheat dough, papaya and mango. That edgy saccharine burn that lactose seem to create dominate the finish.
