Bottle from the Plumsteadshire online shop. Black pour with a tan head. Blackberry jam,liquorice, chocolate raisin, smoke, big notes of whisky in the aroma. Taste is coffee, brown sugar, blackcurrant lozenge, chocolate, single malt,dark roast coffee, burnt toast. Rich, warming brew. Top marks!

Cask at Pigs Ear 2019 - London. Pours black-brown with a foamy, beige head. Sturdy, moderately sweet, with notes of bitter baking cocoa, ash, scorched earth. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, a touch sticky, with drying ashy bitterness. Not bad.

Cask at Pigs Ear '19, day one, 03/12/19. Black with a decent tan head formed of bubbles. Nose is roast malts, mellow whisky tones, light medicinal whisper, chocolate, charr. Taste comprises burnt toffee, dusty fruits, chocolate, spice, mellow speyside kick, light oak, medicinal twang, roasted bite. Medium plus bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a gentle rising boost. Solid.

ABV: 7.3%. Clear dark red brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, wood, light licorice. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, dark malt, chocolate, licorice. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20191203]

Cask at pigs ear 2019. A jet black oily coliurdd pour witha lasting loose dark tan head. Aroma is woody, baksa, dark malts, light tang, coconut, worm wood. Flavour is composed of semi sweet. Brown malts, sugar, coconut, oak, jammy raisin, little harsh. Palate is medium full, good cask condition. Oily.

Cask gravity at Pigs Ear 2019. Black beer lasting tan head. Dark chocolate. Light heat. Decent strong porter plenty of dark chocolate. Some spice on finish. Light barrel character. Good.
