You hold the marriage of wine and beer. Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin Farmed Wheat and Belgian Roasted Barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year.

Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely "Wisconsin." So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet. Serve your friends Belgian Red in a brandy snifter or champagne flute and toast life with beer from the land of Wisconsin.

Bottle: Pours cloudy, dark red-brown with a thick, dark, pinkish-beige head. Powerful cherry and cream aroma. Flavour is slightly tart, cherry malt, real, fresh cherry/juice.....spicy.... Massive cherry presence.....so much so that the dryness of the acids made me thirsty....AS I was drinking it.....I’m not normally a big fan of cherries, but this one is so spectacular in it’s presentation and colossal flavor, I can’t help but get on board and Love IT !!! Simply amazing.....

750 ml thanks to Willrunforbeer, much thanks for this! Maybe a year bottle. Aroma is cherry pie filling, and freshly smashed cherries. Nothing artificial about this yet it is borderline fruit juice. Finish has a very mild tartness. Had I sampled this blind without knowing it was beer, I never would have said this was fermented in any shape. New Glarus is pretty much the king of fruit.

Bottle shared at the Cotteridge convention, 24/01/2015. Huge thanks to Leighton. Murky amber / golden coloured pour with a loosw white head. Aroma is sweet cherry cough syrup, marsipan, cherry sweet. Palate is super sticky sweet, moderate carbonation. Flavour is very sweet, cheerry, decent fruit, cherry bakewell. Too sweet for my taste.

24th Jan 2015: Cotteridge Wine meet, shared bottle. ’Cherry B’ was/is a cherry wine in the UK and this had the same aroma. Sweet cherries abound in this brew from the colour right through to the slightly souring finish. Not really my thing but an interesting take on the more traditional Belgian style.

Bottle split at the Cotteridge Convention, thanks to LKS, 24/01/14. Reddish amber with a moderate off white/crimson covering. Nose is cherry skins, almond, tarte berry, cherry bakwell, vanilla. Taste comprises glaced cherries, sweet licks, lightly soured cherry, red berry compote, jammy berry licks. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweetish close. Decent fruit beer but just don’t get these New Glarus fruit bombs anywhere near the 4 mark like most folks seem to manage!
