Bottle. Brilliant golden colour. Dense white head that stays for a while. Aroma: pure malts, subdued spicy hops. Light body. Grainy taste with light hop spiciness along. Clean and drinkable.

500ml bottle. This one is still around almost five years since the last rating... Pours pale yellow with a small white head that is gone in a few seconds. Aroma is malt, bread and slight sourness. Taste is grain and bread. Low bitterness. Can’t say that I expect much from Zhigilevskoe beers, but at least this one was drinkable and inoffensive.

Pale straw. No head - when did Zhigulyoskoye ever have a head? Light bready malt aroma. A touch of herbal-spicy hop character distinguishes this beer slightly. For its size, it has good body, backed by light bready malt sugars. As Russian pale lager goes, this is one of the better ones.
