Bourbon and (peated) scotch barrel aged imperial stout with coconut and lactose. The peated notes in the beer come from scotch Highland Park and Staoisha barrels. On the back of the beer lies a small hint of the coconut infusion which makes the beer highly complex.

From tap at The Scrapyard, Alkmaar. Aroma is coconut, peat, roasted malt, whisky, booze, vanilla, cocoa, chocolate, mocha, touch of coffee. Nicely roasted, bittersweet, full body. Coconuts galore! Very nice.

Can (found at last) tracked down from Tidens Farver and drunk at home (27/08/2021) - pours black with a tiny tan head. Dark sweet and roasted malty with prominent coconut, deep opulent chocolate, earthy charred peated smoked accents, lactose sweetness surfacing, full bodied, smooth lingering coconut infused dark malty finish. Love this barcode series, but this one not really up there on the same level as the others for me.

One of a still exponentially growing number of Moersleutel stouts, peated and with coconut and lactose apparently, thanks to Craftmember for sharing the can. Thin and open, greyish beige head, quickly reduced to a thin moussy ring; black robe with hazy copper edges. Aroma of vanilla ice cream, 'amandelspijs', caramel, beef stock, sirop de Liège, brownies, blood-like iron, port, coconut flesh but faint, gingerbread, fig jam, glazed pear, rum-soaked raisins; the peaty aspect remains very subtle at least in this sample. Very sweet onset, almond paste, golden raisins and candied cherries, soft fizz, full and syrupy, eventually quite sticky mouthfeel; toffee- and pecan nut-like core under layers of black chocolate and almond, with a strong vanilla presence retronasally but light in woody tannins. The peat again remains very understated - hardly noticeable even, atypically; instead sweetness prevails, with plum candy, almond paste, gingerbread and vanilla remaining the dominant features, only thinly flanked by a dash of coconut. Port-like alcohol glow in the end. Very sweet and desserty pastry stout, bizarrely not or hardly showcasing the ingredients it advertizes - point off for that, and for being a tad too sweet even for the genre. Still an interesting sipper, nonetheless.

Pours a pitch black colour and a brown head with hardly any retention. Aroma's: sweeeeeeeet, liquid chocolate, coconut, slightly boozy. Retronasal there's boozy alcohol, light green apple, sweet, coconut, chocolate. Flavour is light heavy sweet with light roast, coconut. Strong sharp alcohol feel. Above medium bodied. Finishes with peat and some roast, light bitter. Would have been better if less sweet.

Zwart, beige kraagje. Enorme bak kokosmelk, groene appels, turf, komt in de smaak gelukkig beter naar voren, alcoholisch. Medium body. Geen topper hoor.
