Deutlich säuerlicher Beginn. Vollmundig nach Kirsche, das Grundbier ist kaum mehr erahnbar. Süffig, wenig trockenes Mundgefühl, rund. Langer fruchtiger Abgang. 11/9/11/11/10/11

Deep purple with almost no head. Boozy, raisin, cherry pit and maraschino. Light woody and sour notes with cherry pit. A bit of bitterness and some booze. Very complex.

Bottle, by way of a trade with Leighton. Cheers! Dusky, deep, purple tinged red. No head. Nose has sweet and sour cherry. Cherry stone. Cherry Lips sweets. More than a hint of the cognac barrel. In fact, it’s not unlike cherry brandy. Touch of vanilla. Some old oak. Some leather. Lots happening here. Taste is dry and tart, with a welcome, fresh fruit sweetness. Lightly acidic. Stays pretty smooth. Fine carbonation. Cherry, vanilla and oak on the finish. Nice.

Sampled at the brewery during the 3rd anniversary celebrations. Pours unclear red with minimal head. Moderately tart, with fresh tangy cherries, light funk. Light bodied with delicate carbonation. Quenching finish, further fresh, juicy and tart cherry character, some woody dryness, sturdy acidity. Â Outstanding.Â
