Aromatic. Approachable. Unique. Intriguing. Happy-go-lucky. Full-bodied. And we’re not just talking about the horse.
This hop-forward session American Pale Ale uses a blend of classic and modern Pacific Northwest hops, including Mosaic, Ekuanot™ (formerly Equinox) and Glacier, for a pungent blend of peach, mango and tropical aromas. The signature ingredient - oats - are what makes Oatsmobile Ale stand apart, and gives it a body that you don’t see in most other sessionable pale ales.

Bottle at a tasting. Crisp, thin bodied, yet with solid malty background, crystal, very easy drinking. Moderate bitterness and citrusy, grassy hops flavour. Very good.

Bottle. First taste impression borders on dull IPA territory. Slight amber color. Smell has a tad of rubber in it. Gets a little more acceptable as the session continues. Mildly astringent finish. Leaves me with the impression that thar’s much more than 4% alky in this one. For a mild brew, this one needs a few more manners.

Bottled 4/7/16, drunk 8/29/16.
Minimally hazy, lemon-golden body shows good carbonation building a white head atop with moderate to strong retention.
Pepper, very dry passion fruit, nectarine skin and dry pineapple are backed by biscuity malts with fresh house yeast-like minerality and light apple/strawberry notes. No alcohol or flaw.
Dry, yet with a soft texture due in part to the oats, with pepper, passion fruit, nectarine and light lemon comprising the flavors. Mostly tight carbonation, no alcohol or flaw.

Bottle. Bright, hazy orange, low medium head. A bit dank, tropical fruits and some citrus. Big Mosaic dankness in the flavor, onions and mango, peach and biscuits. Very crisp, yet medium body. Tasty and smooth but just a bit thin.
