Aromatic. Approachable. Unique. Intriguing. Happy-go-lucky. Full-bodied. And we’re not just talking about the horse.

This hop-forward session American Pale Ale uses a blend of classic and modern Pacific Northwest hops, including Mosaic, Ekuanot™ (formerly Equinox) and Glacier, for a pungent blend of peach, mango and tropical aromas. The signature ingredient - oats - are what makes Oatsmobile Ale stand apart, and gives it a body that you don’t see in most other sessionable pale ales.

Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Colin. Bright clear gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts, sweetish. Light floralness. Mellow hop skunk in to pine and modest citrus. Soft floral finish. It’s fine.

Bottle thanks to Cloin. It pours clear golden with a medium white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, sticky fruits, nectarine, peach, apricot, toffee, bread, hay and grass. The taste is crisp, clean, soft, mellow bitterness, toasted oats, porridge, hay, hint of citrus and candied peel with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not a huge amount going on. Fair.

355 ml. bottle @ Gollem. Bottle says 6.6.2016 – I hope that is the bottled on date & not BBF date – bottle doesn’t specify. Clear amber, big fluffy white head. Nose is decent mellow stone fruit, low exotic hop, dash pine but also lightly metallic & not very expressive. Taste is quite bland, low oats, paper, quite empty & dull overall, low grass, bland bitterness, creamy but also bit paper, same goes for body, overall this is quite dull & bland unfortunately. I am missy my hop, there is low copper coin taste going on. Expected a lot more to be honest. I suppose if very cheap locally this is passable. I definitely hoped more from a USA brewery this renown.
