Bottle at home. Pours black with a slight reddish hue. Nose is surprisingly fruity with just a touch of chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet, lightly tart, showing mainly raspberry, fruity esters, held back chocolate and barely noticable booze. Long lasting tart and chocolate-y finish, light body, soft carbo. Surprisingly easy to drink, almost refreshing. Nice and not your usual imp stout, pretty interesting.

Dark brown with a tall, foamy beige head that soon collapses. Aroma of raspberry liqueur with a mild, oatmeal stout undertone. Taste is tart the whole way through with some mild sweetness underneath. Prickly carbonation—not usually my thing with an impy, but seems to work better with ones to sour side. Goes down dangerously easy, no sign of the alcohol. The May cellar temperature was probably too warm for this one—also an unusual comment for an impy! Overall, not bad.

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek', bottled in November 2019. Black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity and slightly roasty aroma of fresh raspberry, some chocolate and a touch of caramel. Gently sweet, minimally sourish, moderately roasty-bitter, quite fruity taste of fresh raspberry, dark chocolate, toasted nuts, some coffee and traces of licorice, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter, a little tart, moderately earthy finish. Medium to full body, smooth, a little astringent and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. The raspberry and the kveik fit in so well, the balance is close to perfection, it's a masterpiece from Flügge. Great beer!

22/23-11-19 // taster at 5. Mainzer CraftBeerMesse. Wow wow. Well done! Another banger from Flügge. A lovely composition of jammy tart raspberry aromas and a thick voluminous but quite light bodied. Lots of bitter chocolate. Coffee. Awesome.
